Q: What will my insurance cover?
A: Financial counselors are available to discuss on an individual basis what your insurance company will or will not cover.  RMCC's financial counselors will verify your coverage and pre-authorize medical procedures if this is required by your insurance company.  They will also set up financial arrangements for all non-covered amounts.  To speak with a financial counselor, please call your local RMCC office.

Q: Will RMCC file my insurance claims?
A: RMCC's central business office will file patients' insurance claims. However, patients with supplemental cancer policies are responsible for filing claims with those policies.  RMCC will assist patients in this process by providing them with the needed information.

Q: How do I schedule an appointment?
A: RMCC has several sites of service and more than 50 physicians in our network.  Please contact the site closest to you to schedule an appointment.  It is also helpful to have your primary care physician make the referral for you so we can obtain your medical records from his or her office.

Q: In case of an emergency, how can I get in touch with my doctor or nurse after regular business hours?
A: In case of an emergency, your physician or one of his or her partners is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  After 5:00 pm, if you call your physician's office, your call will automatically be transferred to the answering service.  They will page the physician on call and relay your message.  The physician will then return your call.  When the physician returns your call, please identify yourself.  If a friend or family member makes the call for you, they should tell the physician who is calling and the patient they are calling about.  It is helpful to have a pharmacy phone number available in case the doctor needs to call in a prescription.  If you have not heard from a physician within 30 minutes of your call to the answering service, please call again.  If you feel your call is an emergency, please inform the answering service when you call.

Q: Which hospitals does RMCC admit to?
A: RMCC physicians have privileges at most hospitals in Colorado.  RMCC admits patients to the following hospitals: Aurora Regional Medical Center, Boulder Community Hospital, Longmont United Hospital, Lutheran Hospital, Memorial Hospital, Memorial Hospital (Craig), National Jewish Hospital, North Suburban Medical Center, Penrose-St. Francis Hospital, Platte Valley Medical Center, St. Mary Corwin Hospital, PorterCare Hospital, PorterCare Hospital Avista, PorterCare Hospital Littleton, Parkview Medical Center, Poudre Valley Hospital, Presbyterian/St. Luke's Hospital, Rose Medical Center, Sky Ridge Medical Center St. Joseph Hospital, St. Anthony Hospital North, Swedish Medical Center and Vail Valley Medical Center.
